Finding burial records in Jersey City

  • Death records for Jersey City. Copies of New Jersey vital records can be ordered from the state or from the local vital records office, so ask the Jersey City municipal clerk where its local registrar is. Deaths from May 1848 through 1950 are at the New Jersey State Archives, and newer ones at the New Jersey Department of Health's Office of Vital Statistics and Registry in Trenton.
